Double Rivers Really Cool or Revi as he is know around the barn arrived in January 2009 from Saskatchewan Canada where he was born. Revi is an extravagent mover in all paces. To top it off he has a lovely natural jumping style and a bold ground covering gallop stride.
Revi's sire is Regardez, a 16.3hh Hanoverian imported from Germany in December 2002. Regardez's sire, Regazzoni, by Rubenstein, was Reserve Champion Young Riding Horse of Germany in 1995 and won the Best 5 Year Old Dressage Horse title in 1996. Regardez's dam, Fernet by Fruehlingsball, just as his sire Regazzoini, goes back to one of the most successful mare lines in history, producing the Olympic Dressage Horses: Rembrandt, Ahlerich, and Amon and show jumpers such Polydor, Money Talks, Sonora la Silla, Positano and Poor Boy to name a few.
Revi's dam was a successful event horse with his breeder before becoming a broodmare.
Revi's natural athletic ability has been recognized with a win at his first 4yo Young Event Horse competition held at Jersey Fresh Horse Trials in May 2009 with a score of 83.67%. Revi backed this up with a score of 82.93% at Waredaca YEH class. He was unable to compete for the national title as I was in Australia at my brothers wedding!
Revi has confirmed himself at 2 star in 2011 winning the AEC's Intermediate, Richland CIC**, and finishing 5th at Fair Hill CCI**.
We are aiming at Galway Downs CCI*** for 2012.
Recent results include:
- '11 Poplar Place Open Intermediate 2nd
- '11 Jersey Fresh CIC** 8th at the CIC**
- '11 Richland Park CIC** 1st
- '11 AECs at Chattahooshee Hills Intermediate 1st
- '11 Fair Hill CCI** 5th
