Winter in Aiken is well under way since arriving on the 15th Dec at 1am. The drive down was my first experience with black ice and added 5 hours to the drive and left two very tired drivers, Mark and myself. Mark was also booked on a 7am flight so after 2 hours sleep we were off to the Augusta airport make the flight. Glad that’s over….

Just a quick update to share some pictures of our newest foal who was born on January 8th at the farm of Cam and Winks Armstrong in Cassilis.

Wow!! Just got back from Loch Moy 1 horse trials with Noble and he won! He did a nice test, some really beautiful parts and a few small errors to be in 3rd...

So much paper work and riding to do makes it hard to keep up but I am intending to make an effort to provide regular updates so please check back soon for ongoing updates…

Well its been a while since I last posted.  We have been busy preparing for the Bromont CCI in Quebec Canada (held on the site of the 1976 Olympics equestrian competition) starting next week so thought I would write a quick update on the goings on before we leave.  Heffe (DR 2 Cool) is heading up to do the CCI ** and Squirrel (DR Basil Brush) will be doing the CCI *.  Both had there last start last weekend at Waredaca Horse Trials.

It has been an eventful time since the last post.  We have been in Kennett Square staying with some Aussie friends in preparation for Fair Hill before heading over to the event.  Heffe (DR 2 Cool) had a great event placing 5th in the CIC** at only his 3rd intermediate start.  This horse is coming along so quickly that I have to remind myself he only turns 7 in April of this year!  

Well this is our last night in Aiken.  We had a very productive stay.  Already looking forward to next year!  At just his second preliminary start, DR Basil Brush (Squirrel) won at Pine Top

Hi all.  Just a quick update on what we have been up to down in Aiken.  We have been keeping very busy since arriving with some great results. 

I have been lucky to have the help of Aimee Bohlman around the barn.  The results and presentation of the horses could not have happened without Aimee's efforts.  Aimee has 2 lovely horses that I have enjoyed helping her with.  Aimee's very talented mare Hazel-rah, put in a great performance to win the Preliminary Derby at Paradise Farm Jumping Derby.

Happy new year!  Mark and I have just returned from 4 weeks in Australia.  It was a busy time catching up with friends and family and also getting married! (click below to see photos)  We visited our broodmares and they look great and are due to foal out in January and February. 

Again, has been some time since last posting.  Things have been busy.  With Heffe having a short lay up after Virginia 3 day, the focus for the first half of the summer was on sale horses for clients and finding a new prospect for myself.  Competition during the latter part of the summer was very much dressage focused.

Has been a long time since my last post.  Competition season has been in full swing since the spring with some great results.  Double Rivers 2 Cool (Heffe) confirmed himself at 1 Star level with a 2nd place at the Virginia International CCI 1 Star in May after winning his lead up start at King Oak.

The courses and organisation at the the events has been fantanstic. The weather has been a nice change from the ice and snow of New York too. The two horses for sale, La Boss and Osiris have performed up to expectation and are very nice eventers as they don't have a weak phase.

We will be in Florida and South Carolina for February and March with some exciting horses.
