3 wins for 3 entries in the first 2 events of the season!!!!!! And a new horse for the barn
Posted by: kadi

Revi won his first novice at Pine Top (Jan 30) on a 26.1 and backed it up with another win at Full Gallop (Feb 3) with a 28.5 and Squirrel opens the season with a win in the Intermediate!!!! There is a picture below of Revi training at home leading up to Full Gallop.

Students Kathryn and Aimee were also competing at Full Gallop.  Aimee, in the training was very pleased with her dressage and Hazel looked lovely and soft and rideable.  The stadium was near perfect in Aimees words and I agree she did everything we had worked for and her mare is such a nice jumper.  I was out on cross country walking the novice so got to watch them go over most of the course.  I was super happy with her first water jump ride, very bold and in front of the leg to the jump in and looked on a very good rhythm to the corner after.  Things look exciting for the next few events.

Kathryn, also in the training did a very sweet dressage test taking 10 marks off her last score gaining a 33.5 if you exclude her course error! It is great to see this kind of improvement in the time I have been helping Kathryn.  A rail in the stadium was the only error in a much improved jump round and Kathryn was very pleased with the x-country. The training at Gibbes farm was a tremendous boost and I’m very pleased with this horse as he is showing upper level potential.

Last but not least, congratulations to Joe and Geri Lofgren on their purchase of Bruce. I trained and competed him last year for Dr Brendan and Dr Wendy Furlong and he proved a wonderful young horse winning or placing in all his events. This is Joe’s first horse and he is looking forward to starting lessons and having Bruce progress up the eventing grades. We are expecting his arrival in the 2nd week of Feb and welcome him to the barn.
