Happy new year! Mark and I have just returned from 4 weeks in Australia. It was a busy time catching up with friends and family and also getting married (photos below)! While there we saw first hand the impacts EI is having on the equestrian industry in Australia. We visited our broodmares and they look great and are due to foal out in January and February. Rebreeding this season will be tricky due to travel restrictions related to EI. Unfortunately, we won't be able to do another ET with my old 4 star mare, Izzy, this year as we cant travel to vet clinic due to zoning travel restrictions related to the EI. Dolce (pictured below), Izzy's 3 year old sister by Celerity Park Starlight, is being bred to Vivant this season. Vivant is a very impressive young Belgium Jumping stallion by Fuego du Prelet, one of the last sons of the legendary French showjumping hors progenitor Jalisco B. Additionally, the dam Scalini vd Heffinck is by Landino, an offspring of the top high class show jumping stallion Landgraf I from Holstein. Vivant has easily gained his certificate of capability for the Beijing Olympics and is off to Europe to compete and train ahead of the Olympics. We wish Vivant and Chris the best of luck!
